Counterfeit Ollie

Since its inception in 1998, the Kuklapolitan Website has received emails from people who insisted they had an Ollie puppet even though Burr never allowed any puppet toys to be marketed.  Finally, we have proof that one existed!  This 10" squeaker toy was produced in the 1950s and had generic packaging labeling it simply as "Puppet".  It is clearly Ollie but since it was not identified as such, Burr could not prevent its sale.  Made of latex (notorious for its rapid deterioration), few survive today.  It seems that the company ("PPP" is the only info printed on the toy) did not also counterfeit Kukla.
